Ford Mondeo

As proud club sponsors of Midlands Mondeo Enthusiasts (MME) We get to work on these motors weekly. On this page we will break down the different tuning stages we offer for the Ford Mondeo 2.5T, what figures to expect and what mods are needed. Additionally, we offer various tuning stages for the diesel models which will have it’s own section near the bottom of this page.

We also supply and fit all parts mentioned in this section.

Stage 1 / Stage 1+

A stage one tune can see around 265BHP. A stage 1 tune requires no hardware upgrades.

However, we do recommend an exhaust system, sports cat and induction kit for the best results.

Stage 2

For an Evolution stage 2 the following upgrades are needed:

  • Big front mount intercooler (AIRTEC stage 2 or 3)
  • Crossover pipe and Airfilter
  • 3″ Downpipe and Exhaust System Including sports cat
  • 440cc or 550cc Injectors
  • RS Clutch
  • Inlet Plenmun
  • Forge Actuator with uprated spring (13 – 15PSI)
  • Block Mod
  • RS Spark Plugs

This is our most popular option for the 2.5T Mondeo. These mods along with our custom stage 2 dyno tuning can see figures from 290BHP to 325BHP

Stage 3

For an Evolution stage 3 the following upgrades are needed:

  • Hybrid Turbo / RS Turbo
  • Big front mount intercooler (AIRTEC stage 3) with RS boost pipes
  • Crossover pipe and Airfilter
  • 3″ Downpipe and Exhaust System Including sports cat
  • 550cc Injectors
  • RS Clutch
  • Inlet Plenmun
  • Forge Actuator with uprated spring (15-18PSI)
  • Block Mod
  • RS Spark Plugs

These mods along with our custom dyno tuning can see figures of 325BHP to 360BHP depending on the Turbo used.

Diesel Stage 1 and Stage 2

The most common diesel engines found in the Mondeo are the 2.0 TDCi and the 2.2 TDCi. For a Stage 1 tune, no hardware changes are required. Customers have also reported a 10% improvement on MPG.

Depending on the stock power output; the 2.0 TDCi is capable of producing up to 185BHP and 420NM of Torque from a stage 1 tune. The 2.2TDCi will see around 210BHP and 480NM of Torque. An EGR delete can be carried out at the same time as a stage 1 remap at no extra cost.

A stage 2 tune requires an upgraded exhaust system, induction kit, EGR delete and front mount intercooler. Typical power figures for the 2.2TDCi 175BHP model would be 225BHP and 500NM of Torque.
